I’m happy to announce that our website has a new Directory of Birding-Tour Providers! These are companies and nonprofit organizations that offer bird-finding tours to the public. Several of them lead tours around the world while many others focus on a single region or nation, a few states, or other limited geographic areas.
The guide is organized alphabetically, and it includes 200 tour providers. For each one, we list its headquarters, the places it travels to, and a link to its website. And we offer three ways to search for tour providers:
– You can click on the letters at the top of the page and scroll through the lists of organizations based on the first letters of their names.
– You can select a location from the dropdown menu at the upper left and click “Find It” to produce a list of providers that offer tours to that location.
– Or you can type keywords into the search box to find tour providers.
Please note: More than 30 of the providers in this directory offer trips to birding sites around the world. In the “Select a Location” dropdown menu, we tagged them with the word “Global,” so use that search term to find companies with a breadth of sites.
We published a similar version of this directory in print in our November/December 2019 issue, and afterward, we received half a dozen or so suggestions from readers for other organizations to add. Many thanks to the readers who reached out! If you know of a company or nonprofit that offers birding tours but isn’t listed in our directory, or if you find an error in the information, please let us know about it at mail@birdwatchingdaily.com.
We hope you find the directory useful and that it leads you to great birding sites and memorable bird sightings!
