Description
In the cold and brisk winter days a small flock of Snow buntings find a rock jetty their favorite place to spend the days. It's a well-visited fishing jetty and they continue about their ways while foraging on grass seed heads along the walkway.
Always frigid cold with blustery winds blowing off the cold waters of the Chesapeake Bay I am bundled up well while I sit on the ground quietly watching them amongst the grass. Eventually they tire of eating and jump onto the rip-rap to have a respite.
Graceful preening they seem like dancers on a winter's day.
