While visiting a friend in the Indian Lake Estates community in central Florida, he took me down to the shore of Lake Weohyakapka to see the Ospreys that were nesting there. While making photos of the Ospreys, we also found several Sandhill Cranes wandering around. The cranes were pretty tame, not at all skittish around us – they walked right by us, and sometimes walked right up to us, as if they wanted to be friends. I couldn’t get a shot with my DSLR because the only lens I had with me was a 600mm, so I got out my iPhone and started shooting the cranes as they wandered around me. This one was especially friendly, allowing me to get this unique perspective.
