As recently as the 1960s, Bald Eagle was absent across much of the southern and eastern United States, the Midwest, the Great Plains, Utah, Nevada, and southern California. But today, the species is doing well — so well that it has been removed from the government’s list of threatened and endangered species and, as you can surmise from the 10 spectacular photos below, its range extends across most of North America.
