I was finally able to image the Brewer’s Blackbird that I saw weeks ago when it visited my yard feeders. This one, as you can see by the image, has leucism on the wings and outer tail feathers. It gives him a frosted look. This is the third (maybe fourth) bird that I have seen locally in as many months with some degree of leucism. Supposedly, leucism is a 1-in-30,000 outcome. I’m beginning to believe there is something in the water here.
