Usually an uncooperative bird, this Northern Flicker was sitting nicely in a tree just off of the parking lot at a local Forest Preserve in Palos, Cook County, IL. Taken with a Canon EOS 7D,300mm F2.8L w 2x,ISO 320,AV F8,TV 1/400.
