A juvenile Red-tailed Hawk chose to rest on the railing of our deck. It remained for about twenty minutes, then departed. We think he made lunch of a local dove since there was a debris circle on the ground containing a bunch of feathers, etc. It was a thrill to sit quietly and watch the hawk preen itself before its departure. Magnificent bird!
