Ivins, Utah. Apr. 12, 2013, 12:54 pm. I was just standing under our Mimosa tree with the camera on the tripod waiting for something to fly into the backyard. This Verdin landed at the very top of the tree with a big feather in his beak. Nest building I guess. There were a million branches in the way but I found a little spot where his head was in the clear. Sony A77V w/70/400 zoom at 400. 1/1000 F8.0 ISO 400. From a tripod and cropped.
