November 18, 2020. Huntington Beach State Park, SC. The tidal basin, freshwater lagoons, and expansive beach are a haven for waterfowl of many types, as well as woodland birds in the coastal forest. Alligators are also easily spotted in the freshwater and sometimes in the tidal waters. The photo is an example of wading birds resting in one of the majestic Live oaks.
