This photo was taken in Charlestown, R.I. where for the last two weeks we’ve had an invasion of Red and White-winged Crossbills, along with some Evening Grosbeaks and Common Redpolls. We haven’t seen a movement like this in R.I. for a couple of decades. It’s wonderful.
I used a Canon 50D camera, with Canon 400 mm, 5.6 lense, set at ISO 640, , P mode
