I photographed this Black-billed Magpie last week, they started nesting building/renovating their nests at the end of February. They take approximately 40-50 days to accomplish nest construction. Nikon D300, f6.3, 1/2500, ISO 640, Nikkor 200-400mm VR at 264mm, natural light. Photographed from inside a vehicle used as a mobile blind. These birds are nesting close to a road in Davis County, UT.
