I was photographing this Burrowing Owl when he decided to jump up on a wooden post stuck in the ground. I was just getting into that sweet glowing evening light so I did not want to waste the light I had hoping this guy was going to come back on to the ground. So I switched into portrait mode. I positioned myself to work out a messy background that I had. Sometimes you have to work with what you are given to capture the best image. I like moments like this because they challenge you to think and push yourself to be more creative. This particular Burrowing Owl was photographed on the east coast of Florida in Broward County.
