Location: National Elk Refuge, Jackson, WY
This image of a cinnamon teal pair demonstrates the plumage difference between hens and breeding drakes. The drake is notable for his red eye as well as the reddish-brown body and the long black bill. The hens and non-breeding males have the same long bill as well as a dark eyeline and dark top of the head.
