This young Cooper’s Hawk photo was taken mid-day in a forested yard (Monument, CO) with many bird feeders. His beak still has blood on it from his latest meal. He was very well camouflaged and his presence might have gone unknown except for the four Steller’s Jays yelling at him from nearby trees. I used a tree to steady the camera.
