This weekend I had the opportunity to observe some Hooded Mergansers in my area. Nice to see them back since their last departure! Here is a frame in which I capture two males during some courting maneuvers on a small pond. I photographed these birds using a Canon EOS 1DX Mark II, 500 mm F/4 L IS II, 2x teleconverter under early morning sunny skies. Middlesex County, MA 2020.
