This Red-tailed Hawk for a month at a time for three consecutive years chose to sleep in a not very tall tree in front of my house in a residential area.
An alarm would be sounded upon the hawks arrival each night by robins who nested every year in this same tree. This would continue sometimes for hours until the robins gave up or the hawked having listened to it enough flew to another tree across the street for some piece and quiet.
Taken in Markham, Ontario Canada June 2010 with a Canon T2i camera and Canon 4.5-5.6 100-400mm telephoto lens.
