This Ruby-throated Hummingbird nest was photographed at Big Walnut Creek, just outside of Columbus Ohio. Two fellow photographers and I had a unique and unforgettable experience that day. The nest was located at eye level about 30 feet from a foot bridge. The babies have since successfully fledged, but I will never forget the experience that I shared with them that day. This one shows the tongue of the mother hummingbird flickering out.
