I sat and watched this Snowy Owl as the sun set. As the sun got lower and lower, I noticed a change in behavior. The Snowy began to “wake up” and was preening and stretching and even jumped up to a higher POV as it got ready for the evening hunt. This particular image is one of my personal favorites, not only because of the look but the glow of the setting sun that bathed the Snowy and its environment the last evening of my visit to Damon Point State Park, Washington. A fitting way to end my two day trip out west.
