I photographed this adult intermediate morph Swainson’s Hawk as it flew over Beaverhead County in Montana a few days ago. I also saw huge kettles of them each day while I was there, sometimes the kettles would number over 70 birds. It was amazing to see. Nikon D300, f6.3, 1/1250, ISO 640, Nikkor 200-400mm VR with 1.4x TC at 328mm, natural light, not baited
