It was a very hot in the mid afternoon in the southwestern side of Singapore where I was in my hide waiting for this Blue-throated Bee Eater to take off while was resting on the sand hill there for more than 15 minutes. Suddenly this BTBE was about to take off after hearing a call of a Peregrine Falcon up in the sky. I captured this BTBE with my Nikon AIS 800mm F5.6 ED-IF plus Nikon D3s with Fill in Flash from a distance about 8 meters away in full manual focusing on my Manfrotto Pro526 Fluid head + Manfrotto Pro Carbon 536 Tripod.
It was a good catch on that afternoon and it never come back after waiting for another 3 hours to have a few more inflight shots of this BTBE.
