My very first sight of this mighty bird at Thekkady, Kerala, India captured with my Canon S5 IS PC1234 8.0MP 12x Optical Zoom. Great Horn Bills are symbol of Western Ghats. Due to habitat loss and hunting in some areas, the Great Hornbill is evaluated as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
